Four INNOVATIONS THAT MADE THIS METHOD POSSIBLE

  1. There are 11 G notes on the fretboard, meaning the G scale could have been located in 11 places. My
    • locating all the musical scales in the best place and
    • having the scales start on either the low E string or the A string allows us to have only two fingering patterns for the seven keys. This is new.
  2. Utilizing nearly the whole keyboard with musical scales is also new.

  3. The most significant innovation is my applying color-coding so musicians do not have to remember the best locations for the scales or the locations of the notes on each scale.
  4. This method of color-coding tells the musician instantly where the desired scale begins, where that octave ends, and where the next octave begins and ends. The sameness of the fingering patterns promotes subconscious muscle memory. Since the musician does not have to remember the finger locations, they can concentrate only on reproducing on the fretboard the sound of the melody in their mind.

These four innovations have made it possible for the first time, to very quickly learn to play lead guitar, playing the melody of any familiar song, in any key, with no memorization, no music, no knowledge of music, and no knowledge of guitar chords.
